Can the pitch of my piano be raised?

The pitch of any piano should not generally be raised more than a few cycles per second above concert pitch. If the pitch is below concert pitch, it may be possible to raise it, but it depends on the condition, age and type of the piano. Ask a piano tuner for advice.

Generally speaking, raising the pitch by say, a semitone, will make the instrument unstable for a while, until subsequent tunings stabilize it.
