The disc includes the complete lyra viol duos from Thomas Ford's Musicke of Sundrie Kindes, 1607, three pieces by Tobias Hume from The First Part of Ayres..., 1605, including The Spirit of Musicke, The Duke of Holstone's delight and Touch me sweetly and three anonymous pieces from John Merro's Books.
